Alan Moore at Occupy London of the Day

Legendary comics creator Alan Moore has been a vocal supporter of the Occupy movement, and the role his Guy Fawkes mask from V for Vendetta has played in it, and now Moore has actually visited the front lines of the protest himself.

Channel 4 News joined Moore at Occupy London, as he came face-to-mask with his own creation.

“It’s a bit surprising when some of the characters you thought you made up suddenly seem to escape into ordinary reality,” Moore told the masked protestors. “I mean, what is it about the mask — is it just useful, or what?”

He also addressed his feud with fellow comics creator Frank Miller, who has taken a decidedly anti-Occupy stance.

“If there’s something in the world happening that you don’t agree with, protest against it. If there’s something that you wish existed in the world, work towards realizing it,” Moore said.
