Will.i.am checks own lyrics on cellphone mid-performance

Many of us have experienced those awkward moments during which our minds go blank and we can't figure out the words we need to say, but few — if any — of us have dealt with such a problem in the middle of a televised music performance.

But just in case we ever need to cope with such an issue, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am has demonstrated how to handle things — by whipping out a cellphone.

The Hollywood Reporter explainsthat during a live performance of the Black Eyed Peas' latest single, "Don’t Stop The Party," will.i.am seemingly "resorted to using his cellphone to read lyrics."

In the performer's defense, we don't actually know what exactly was on his cellphone screen during those moments — and he could very well be an amazing multi-tasker and reading text messages while spitting out some rapid fire verses.
