10 Super Creepy Celebrity Life Masks

Life masks are quite common in the land of Hollywood; they're used in movies and TV shows to create special effects make-up and appliances, rather than forcing an actor to sit around for tests all day. And once filming wraps, many of these masks end up in collectors' hands, or in the possession of companies such as the Haunted Studios, which make and distribute replicas to eager fans online.

As for what the fans do with these masks . . . er, I guess mount them on the wall like they just shot Bambi's mom? It's a bit weird, I'll admit. Some find more artistic uses, though (such as the realistically painted Michael Jackson mask, above).

But for your morbid viewing pleasure, ONTD, I browsed through the archives of masks for sale and assembled a list of 10 unnerving celeb life casts! (I REGRET NOTHING.)

Enjoy~

Daniel Radcliffe

A very large casting taken during pre-production on one of the earlier Harry Potter films.

Johnny Depp

Face casting taken during pre-production for the original Disney Pirates film.

Angelina Jolie

Not sure when this casting was taken, unfortunately.

Brad Pitt

Not sure when this casting was taken, either. =/

Elijah Wood

Casting taken during the shoot of the Lord of The Rings film series. The casting was actually made to create a mask for Wood's scale double -- so Frodo would look like Frodo even if the camera accidentally filmed the double's face!

Tom Cruise

Taken during pre-production on the film Interview With The Vampire, and used to create aging vampire effects.

Sandra Bullock

Face casting taken during pre-production for a recent film project.

Elizabeth Taylor

A casting of Taylor's face and neck from 1963.

Michael Jackson

Taken during production of the 1984 music video, Thriller. Jackson did a second casting with a false set of "wolf fangs" in his mouth.

David Bowie

Taken from the 1976 film The Man Who Fell to Earth.
